Do I have to learn anything technical to use this?
No. You use an AI app you probably already know, like Claude or ChatGPT, and you simply ask questions in normal language. We handle every technical part of connecting it to your Odoo. You just open the app and ask.
What is "MCP" in plain terms?
MCP (Model Context Protocol) is just the secure doorway that lets an AI assistant read your Odoo when you ask it to. You never have to think about it — it is the plumbing that makes "ask your business a question" possible and safe.
Can it accidentally see or change things it shouldn't?
No. The assistant only ever has the permissions of the Odoo login behind it, exactly like a staff member. You can make it read-only so it can answer questions but never change anything, and every action can be logged for review.
Does this work on my phone specifically?
Yes. The AI apps that connect to your Odoo — such as Claude and ChatGPT — run on iPhone and Android. Once connected, you can ask your business a question from anywhere your phone has signal.
Which Odoo versions does this work with?
The KSROlabs MCP Server supports Odoo 14 through 19, on self-hosted, Odoo.sh, or on-premise instances. If you run Odoo Online (a *.odoo.com address), we use the free Odoo Online MCP Gateway instead, which does the same job without installing a module.
How long until I can do this?
Usually a few days. The module installs on top of your existing Odoo, and free setup support is included so we get you to "ask your phone and get an answer" quickly.
